Sweet Summer Time

Well summer break is offically here for Caraline and me! As a teacher this is most definetly the best time of the year! I enjoy being home with Caraline and all that comes with not working for 2 months. Fortunately for me I will not be returniing to school until after Labor Day (due to Maternity leave). This will make it even harder to go back!!

I know Jason is bummed that he has to go to work everyday while Caraline and I stay home and enjoy summer but we do make the most of the weekends! This weekend was so wonderful with the weather that we were able to do a ton of things! On Friday night Jason played in a softball torunament in Brentwood. A guy at his work asked him to sub for a teammate that couldn't attend. I was nervous about this since Jason hasn't played baseball/softball since college, however, he shocked me with his homeroom that he hit over the fence! He is so proud of that!! He couldn't get out of bed the next morning but who cares about that! :)

Saturday was pool day. Our pool is finally open and I am sooooo excited! It was still a little cold but Caraline and Jason didn't seem to mind. Caraline is still like a fish in the water and has absolutely NO FEAR of the deep water. She was jumping in, going under, and splashing around just like last year. Of course I was there with my camera to catch all of the action!

Sunday we went to church, out to lunch, and then fishing down at dam by our house. Caraline had her very own Dora fishing pole and had ton of fun using it! She stayed busy for 2 hours with that pole and never once whinned or complained about being there! She also enjoyed playing around in the shallow river water. The waterfall from the dam was very relaxing and gave a background for my pictures!
