We started the festivities last Saturday when we had a birthday dinner at Maggiano's with Stephanie and Corey. Dinner was phenomenal and we had a great time being out on a date with friends. (Caraline was with her Memaw and Granpa.)
Jason took me shopping on Sunday and got me some really nice birthday presents. Here they are all wrapped up!
Bet you couldn't guess it was a new purse and wallet :) This will be my "summer time" purse :)
Caraline got me some Bass flip flops and some goodies from Bath and Body works that I wanted.
For my actual birthday we went as a family to dinner at Pei Wei and had ice cream at Marble Slab (yum yum!!). I got several calls from friends and family and gifts at school that I didn't expect! One of my students brought me a bouquet of flowers and another brought me a Star Bucks gift card. A group of my really close teacher friends put together a basket of goodies from the World Market which was so cool and delicious too!
Overall the day I was dreading turned out to be one the best days I have had in a long time. It had nothing to do with the gifts but everything to do with feeling loved! I appreciate it all and want to thank those of you who made my day so special!! I still can't believe I am soon going to be 30!!!!
