Happy Mother's Day

I received my Mother's Day gift a little early since we were going to be out of town on the actual day. I have been wanting to landscape the bed around our mailbox so that is what I got for Mother's Day. I picked out my flowers and these are what we decided to work with

I wasn't much help with the planting except directing Jason where I wanted them to be placed. Caraline grabbed her garden tools and decided to help daddy plant my Mother's Day flower bed. She loves to play in the dirt with her shovels and rake. I think she gets that from her daddy or her Gramps....definitely not from me!

Here is the picture of the beautiful finished flower bed. I was pleased with how it turned out. I love the combination of the light and dark purple.

Here is a picture of the knock out rose bush that I got last year for Mother's Day, it has gotten huge since last year and is so beautiful! I would much rather have live flowers than those in a vase that die in a week!
