Today we headed to downtown to watch the 2007 Nashville Flugtag competition. I am sure many of you have seen this on T.V. It is a "flying" competition sponsored by Redbull. You know the saying.....Redbull gives you wings! The point of the competition is to build a flying contraption that the contestants run off the end of a ramp in hopes that it will fly. This is done over the water on a ramp 30 feet in the air. We had such a good time! It was scorching hot but we made sure to wear sunscreen and drink plenty of water. It really was interesting to watch!Despite the heat, Caraline did great! She hung out in her stroller most of the time and clapped for all the
competitors. Teams come from all over the United States to compete, the ironic part is that a team from Western Kentucky University (Go Hilltoppers!) actually won the whole thing. We even bumped into a couple that we were friends with from WKU! I have a video of their flight! Check it out it is really cool!
